P K Sidharth Ramkumar is Malayali hailing from the city of Kochi, Kerala, has made his parent proud. “I had no idea that Sidharth was attempting the exam,” Sidharth’s mother Rathi told to one of the news outlet. βIt was only after watching television that we knew that he had attempted the exam and appeared for the interview,β says Rathi, his mother.
“He plays cricket is an extrovert and is engaged in multiple things, ” said his elder brother. Who practices at the high court, mentioned that Ramkumar is a all rounder.
Ramkumar joined the Indian Tele commination services, after which he was selected as IPS. Ramkumar is currently being trained as a IPS ( better known as Indian Police Services ) at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

P K Sidharth Ramkumar, a 24 years old, hails from the city of Kochi, marking his name with attainment of fourth rank in the UPSC civil services exam 2023, with Anthropology as his optional. He chose Anthropology as his optional out of all the 48 eligible optional set by the Union Public Service Commission.
Last year in 2023, P K Sidharth Ramkumar improved his rank but decided to remain as an IPS officer and continue to serve the country.
How did P K Sidharth Ramkumar prepare for UPSC Civil Services Examination?
The first time when he started to prepare for UPSC CSE was during his college years. Precisely in his last semester, during his internship he started the prep for UPSC.
Ramkumar believes in discipline and structured daily routine that should be followed every day. Practicing sample papers, mock test, test series made it easier for him prepare for the UPSC.

Number of attempts in the UPSC CSE | UPSC CSE 2023 AIR 4
When Ramkumar decided to give the UPSC CSE 2023, It was considered to be his fourth attempt in the UPSC CSE. His first attempt was just after college but he couldn’t clear it.
He first cracked UPSC CSE in 2020, securing a position in the Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service. In his next attempt, he secured the 181 rank and was selected for the Indian Police Service. Determined to improve further, the 27-year-old earned the 121 rank on his third attempt in 2022. He is currently undergoing IPS training in Hyderabad.
